• Attention all Juniors and Seniors,

If you want to buy a parking permit for the 2022-2023 school year, you must complete the online form below. In the form, they will upload a picture of their valid driver’s license, vehicle insurance, Safe Driving pledge, and parking permit application. Students with a learners permit are not able to apply for parking. No paperwork will need to be brought to the campus. A link to pay for the parking permit will be emailed to the student’s NEISD email account after their form has been reviewed and approved by a Johnson High School staff member.

*Update*: We are currently sold out of parking permits.  Students wanting to obtain a parking permit should still apply and will be notified if a parking permit becomes available.

  • Steps to Acquiring Parking Permit

    1. Please read the parking guidelines for Johnson High School.
    2. Print and complete the following documents. These documents will need to be uploaded when completing the online parking permit form.
    3. Finally, complete the online parking permit form.

Students who will be seniors and juniors for the 2022-2023 school year can start submitting their parking permit application on June 8, 2022. All forms will be verified by a staff member and students will be emailed a payment link to their NEISD student email account to pay for the parking permit no later than July 27, 2022. All students that have been approved will need to pay for their permit no later than July 28, 2022 to be eligible to pick up their parking permit at Prep Day on August 2, 2022. Students will be notified through their NEISD student email account when they can pick up their permit if they are not able to attend Prep Day or if they make their parking permit payment after July 28, 2022. We will continue to sell parking permits using the same process until all 581 student parking permits have been sold.

    Additional Notes:

    • We have found that it is easier to complete the form using a phone instead of a laptop, desktop, etc.
    • Please double check the application and Safe Driving pledge to make sure that all signatures have been completed prior to submitting the online parking permit form.
    • Please contact assistant principal Steve Berg (sberg@neisd.net) if you have any questions about the process.

Students need to be cleared of all fines, textbook obligations, and technology obligations to purchase a parking permit for the 2022-2023 school year. We will not reserve a parking permit for students who still need to pay a fine, have a textbook, or technology obligation.

  • Seniors

The DEADLINE for Seniors to be guaranteed a parking permit is Tuesday, July 26, 2022. Seniors who miss the deadline can still submit their form, but may be put on a waiting list for a parking permit if we are sold out until more parking permits are available. Juniors will be notified on July 27, 2022 if they will receive a parking permit before the 2022-2023 school year starts. We will open the band pad for additional student parking in late November.

    Juniors

Due to the fact that we may have a greater demand for parking permits than available parking spaces, we may be forced to hold a lottery for the junior class. Since the lottery selection will be random, it does not matter when juniors submit their application for a parking permit prior to the deadline on July 26, 2022. We usually do not sell out of parking permits until a month into the school year, so it is unlikely that we will need a lottery for this school year.

    Sophomores

**Students who will be sophomores will not be able to receive a parking permit for the 2022-2023 school year. Our sincerest apologies, but due to increasing class sizes each year, the demand for parking permits continues to increase while the availability of parking spaces does not change. We will let you know if there is any change to this policy during the school year.
