• Attention all Juniors and Seniors,

If you want to buy a parking permit for the 2023-2024 school year, you must complete the online form below. In the form, you will upload your valid driver's license, vehicle insurance, Safe Driving pledge, and parking permit application. Students with a learner's permit are not able to apply for a parking permit.

  • Steps to Acquiring a Parking Permit

    1. Please read the parking guidelines for Johnson High School.
    2. Print and complete the following documents. These documents will need to be uploaded when completing the online parking permit form.
    3. Finally, complete the online parking permit form.

    Important Information

    • Students approved for a parking permit will receive the online payment link sent to their NEISD student email account after they have been verified by a Johnson staff member.

    • Students who miss the deadline to submit their application, or receive their driver’s license after the deadline, should still apply for a parking permit. A parking permit will be sold to them when it becomes available.

    • We will continue to sell parking permits until all 581 student parking permits have been sold.

    • We will open the band pad in late November for additional student parking

    Additional Notes:

    • We have found that it is easier to complete the form using a phone instead of a laptop, desktop, etc.
    • Please double check the application and Safe Driving pledge to make sure that all signatures have been completed prior to submitting the online parking permit form.
    • Please contact assistant principal Steve Berg (sberg@neisd.net) if you have any questions about the process.

  • Important Dates

    • June 6 - Incoming seniors and juniors can start submitting their online parking application.
    • July 26 - Deadline for seniors to submit their parking application to be guaranteed a parking permit for the 2023-2024 school year.
    • July 26 - Deadline for juniors to submit their parking permit application.
    • July 27 - Juniors who have submitted a parking permit will be notified if they will receive a parking permit for the 2023-2024 school year.
    • August 2 - Payment deadline for students who have been approved for a parking permit.
    • August 4 - Students who have purchased a parking permit can pick up their parking permit during their Prep Day time. Students not able to pick up their parking permit on August 4 will be able to pick up their parking permit on August 11 or the first day of school.

Since we may have a greater demand for parking permits than available parking spaces, we may be forced to hold a lottery for the junior class. Since the lottery selection will be random, it does not matter when juniors submit their application for a parking permit prior to the deadline on July 26, 2023. We usually do not sell out of parking permits until a month into the school year, so it is unlikely that we will need a lottery for this school year.

    • Students need to be clear of all fines, textbook obligations, and technology obligations to purchase a parking permit for the 2023-2024 school year. We will not reserve a parking permit for students who still need to pay a fine, have a textbook, or technology obligation.
    • **Students who will be sophomores will not be able to receive a parking permit for the 2023-2024 school year. We are sorry, but with class sizes getting larger each year, the demand for parking permits continues to increase while the availability of parking spaces does not change. We will let you know if there is any change to this policy during the school year.
