Dual Credit
Earn College Credit While Still in High School
North East ISD students can get a head start on their college degree by earning college credit while still enrolled in high school through Dual Credit programs.

NEISD currently partners with:
- San Antonio College

These partnerships provide both academic dual credit courses and career-focused dual credit opportunities for eligible students.

Texas Success Initiative Assessment (TSIA2)
The TSIA2 is a Texas state assessment that determines a student’s readiness for college-level coursework.
The exam evaluates skills in:
- Reading
- Writing
- Mathematics
Passing the TSIA2 (or meeting qualifying ACT/SAT scores) is required for most dual credit courses.
Students should speak with their school counselor about preparing for and registering for the TSIA2.
Articulation Agreements
NEISD also participates in articulation agreements with Alamo Colleges District campuses.
These agreements allow certain high school Career and Technical Education (CTE) courses to count toward college credit when students enroll in participating community colleges.
Credit opportunities vary by campus and by program based on the terms of the agreement.
Statewide Articulated Credit (ATC)
The Advanced Technical Credit (ATC) Program allows high school students to receive college credit across participating community colleges throughout Texas.
ATC courses are enhanced technical courses taught in high school that may transfer to community colleges statewide.
This program helps students gain career-focused college credit while preparing for technical training or workforce pathways.
Dual Credit Transcripts
Students who complete dual credit coursework will earn college credit through the partner institution.
Dual credit students do not automatically receive a transcript. Beginning June 12, 2025, students may request an official transcript through San Antonio College’s online transcript system.
The college registrar charges a transcript processing fee, which is a college fee and not an NEISD fee.
Students can access their records and transcript request forms through the college’s official transcript system.
