Imelda Hernandez-Cruz
HOLA!!
My name is Imelda Hernandez-Cruz; I am a World Languages teacher. Altogether, I hold about 25+ years of teaching experience in Mexico, North Carolina, Georgia and now Texas. I have taught French, English and Spanish at different levels from elementary school to college.
I come from a family of teachers and this is my passion. I love using different methods, authentic resources in my classroom so I can reach every student and every learning style.
I love traveling, learning other languages and different cultures, sharing my culture and I try to make a difference where I go. I love my family, like making friends and share what I know.
In the year 2000, I came from Mexico to Atlanta, Georgia as an exchange teacher. My husband, my son and I moved from Georgia to San Antonio the summer of 2012. This has been an opportunity for me to learn about Texas and its culture, meet wonderful people, and grow as a professional and as a human being.
My son is a Johnson graduate so this school has a very dear place in my heart.
I look forward to working with each one of my students, help them become proficient at the beginning and intermediate levels of Spanish language while also learning about Hispanic culture.
