Degrees and Certifications:
RN, BSN-Bachelor of Science in Nursing M. Ed. - Master of Education in Administration
Greetings from Johnson High School's Health Science Technology Department! My name is Carla Jacobs and I am one of the Health Science Teachers here at Johnson High School. I currently teach Health Science Practicum (Clinical Rotation) and Health Science Theory.
I have been a teacher for sixteen years in NEISD, spending nine years at Lee High School and the remainder here at Johnson High School. I am a Registered Nurse that graduated from UTHSCSA with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. I have nursing experience in the fields of Gynecology, Home Health, and Clinical Research. After being a nurse and loving what I do, I didn't think that I would find another career just as satisfying. I HAVE. Teaching is a great joy to me and I love sharing my knowledge of the medical field with students as they find their way into a career pathway.
I am also the Career and Technical Education Department Head for Johnson High School and I have my Master of Edcuation in Administration from Lamar University. My class schedule is listed above and I can be reached via email at email@example.com. Please visit my webpage for more information about my classes and the Health Science Endorsement.
