My teaching career began in 2007 at Livingston Junior High School in Livingston, Texas. Since the year 2007, I have taught 7th grade, 8th grade, Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra 2 and PreCalculus. My favorite math classes are Algebra. I love to find the unknowns. I graduated in 1998 with a Bachelor of Business Administration from Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches, TX. After working a few years on the business side of schools, I discovered I really wanted to be in the classroom with students. So I went back to school and completed my PBIC for 4-8th Mathematics Certification. After teaching 6 years at the junior high level, I discovered that I really wanted to teach high school students. So I studied and became certified to teach 8th-12th grade Mathematics. Learning is so important, but so are the relationships that you make as you teach. My philosophy is that every student can learn.
