YOUR COMPLAINT

We encourage you to contact the campus principal to discuss your concern.

Step 2

File a level i
COMPLAINT

This begins the formal complaint process. Upon receipt of the Level I Complaint, the principal will confirm via email that they have received the complaint and schedule a time to meet with you.
Step 3

Meet with
your principal

During your Level I Conference you will have an opportunity to provide information and documentation related to your complaint. The Principal may ask additional questions to clarify the remedy you are requesting.

Step 4

Request a level ii
conference

If the complaint is not resolved after receiving the written response from the Principal, you may request a Level II Conference.
Step 5

Meet with the appropriate
exec. director

Upon receiving your request for a Level II Conference, the appropriate Executive Director will confirm via email that they have received the request and schedule a time to meet with you.

Step 6

Request a level iii
conference

If the complaint is not resolved after receiving the written response from the Executive Director, you may request a Level III Conference.
Step 7

Meet with human resources hearing officer

The Level III Conference will be held with the Human Resources Hearing Officer and they will confirm via email that they have received the request and schedule a time to meet with you.

Step 8

Request a level iv appeal

If the complaint is not resolved after receiving the written response from the Human Resources Hearing Officer, you may request a Level IV Appeal to the North East ISD Board of Trustees.
Step 9

Request a level iv appeal

The Level IV Appeal will be scheduled with you through the Office of the Superintendent of Schools and held during a Regular or Special Board Meeting.
