Christie Brown

Welcome to choir at Johnson High School!  I have been the choir director at Johnson High School since it opened in 2008 and have enjoyed the challenge and pleasure of watching the program grow and thrive.  Prior to Johnson I taught at MacArthur High School for 9 years, Madison High School for 1 year, and Canyon High School in New Braunfels for 2 years.  I graduated Summa cum Laude from Arizona State University with a Bachelor of Music and graduated with distinction from Baylor University with a Master of Music.  I also completed my Principal's Certification at Lamar University.

Here at Johnson we focus on learning to singing correctly in a healthy manner.  Opportunities like the TMEA Region Choir/All-State Choir Audition process, UIL Solo and Ensemble, and UIL Concert and Sightreading will be our goals throughout the year and preparation for these events our focus.  In Johnson's young history we have had 25 Texas All-State Choir members, countless superior ratings at Solo and Ensemble and consistent sweepstake trophies at Concert and Sightreading.  I am glad you will be a part of the Johnson Choir legacy!
