Greetings!

Welcome to English II and English II Honors!

I am looking forward to serving as your English instructor this school year. I am committed to further developing the knowledge, skills, and tools for reading critically, thinking abstractly, and writing well. I am truly excited to help my students explore new ideas, broaden their knowledge and understanding of the people, places, ideas, and world around us, as well as help to develop an individual style and voice as a writer. 

As an inaugural staff member of Johnson High School, the 2022-2023 school year will mark my 18th year with NEISD, and my 22nd year teaching English and teaching students how to communicate effectively.

I am confident that my varied background and personal interest in preparing students for college and workplace environments will prove once again to be an asset in preparing students for academic success. 

It is my desire to help all students achieve academic success and an overall positive educational experience!
