Greetings!

Welcome to English II Honors!

I am looking forward to serving as your English instructor this school year. I am committed to further developing the knowledge, skills, and tools for reading critically, thinking abstractly, and writing well. I am truly excited about helping students explore new ideas, broaden their knowledge and understanding of people, places, and ideas, and help develop individual styles and voices as writers. 

As an inaugural Johnson High School staff member, the 2024-2025 school year will mark my 20th year with NEISD, and my 24th year teaching English and teaching students how to communicate effectively. 

I am confident that my varied background and personal interest in preparing students for college and workplace environments will be an asset in preparing students for academic success. 

My goal is to help all students achieve academic success and an overall positive educational experience!
