Greetings!

Welcome to English II Honors!

I am looking forward to serving as your English instructor this school year. I am committed to further developing the knowledge, skills, and tools for reading critically, thinking abstractly, and writing well. I am truly excited to help students explore new ideas, broaden their knowledge and understanding of people, places, and ideas as well as help develop individual styles and voices as writers. 

As an inaugural staff member of Johnson High School, the 2023-2024 school year will mark my 19th year with NEISD, and my 23rd year teaching English and teaching students how to communicate effectively.

I am confident that my varied background and personal interest in preparing students for college and workplace environments will prove to be an asset in preparing students for academic success. 

It is my desire to help all students achieve academic success and an overall positive educational experience!
