Course Selection & Endorsements

Johnson 2025 - 2026 Course Selections Kick-Off

Starts on January 23rd with a special video from the counseling office to be shown during 2nd period. All 9th, 10th and 11th grade students will receive course cards and handouts to help with course selections. Throughout the week, teachers and students will discuss the course options to take next year.

January 23rd: Skyward Opens for Students to Enter Course Requests

February 14th: Deadline for Students to Enter Course Requests in Skyward Student Portal

Students Meet with Counselors

Counselors will meet with students individually through English classes to review and advise course selections and ensure they are entered in Skyward.

  • Jan. 27 - 31: Counselors will meet with 9th grade students
  • Feb 3 - 7: Counselors will meet with 10th grade students
  • Feb. 10 - 14: Counselors will meet with 11th grade students

Endorsements

Endorsements consist of a related series of courses that are grouped together by interest or skill set. Students must select an endorsement in the ninth grade. Visit your school counselor to learn more about your options. Students may earn more than one endorsement, but at least one is required for students to graduate on the Distinguished Level of Achievement plan.
