I am elated to be a part of the Johnson High School faculty! I spent my first four years at NEISD as an athletic trainer at LEE High School. In 2021, I joined the Career and Technology Education department as a Health Science teacher at JHS. I am excited to share my enthusiasm for health care, and the vast professional opportunities with our Johnson students through engaging content, experiential learning, and networking.
In 2012, I graduated with my Bachelor of Science degree in athletic training at the University of Texas in Austin. There my passion for sports medicine cultivated and thrived. I opted to continue my education, and attended the University of Kansas as a graduate assistant athletic trainer for the Jayhawk track and field and cross-country teams. While I thoroughly enjoyed my time in the Midwest, I could not wait to get back to the Lone Star State. In 2016/2017, I worked as an assistant athletic trainer at St. Edward's University for their men and women's basketball and tennis teams. From there I joined North East ISD!
When I am not out supporting the Jags and their extracurricular activities, I enjoy spending time with my husband, our two children, and our three dogs. We love swimming, exploring local parks and trails, and simple days at home barbecuing and playing in the back yard. Moreover, attending concerts, listening to live music, and watching the Longhorns fill up the rest of my free time!
