Hi! My name is Leah Plumas. 

I am a graduate of Texas State University and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Family and Consumer Science. I am starting my 18th year of teaching this year and have been at Johnson since the second year it opened.

I came back to NEISD to do my student teaching at Macarthur High School and started my professional teaching career at Ronald Reagan High School for 4 years. I was a student at Bradley Middle School and Churchill High School!!

All of my teaching years I have been in the Family and Consumer Science area.  I LOVE what I teach!! Over the years, my classes have been varied, but have always included Child Development, Ready, Set, Teach I & II and for the past 12 years being a sponsor of PALS.  

My goal is to reach all different types of learners by using different instructional methodology everyday. My teaching philosphy is: Teach to the Real World. I want my students to leave my classroom with real world knowledge to help them out in life.  

I have two children who attend Cibolo Green Elementary school.  I have 3 younger brothers and we are all teachers, along with 2 of my sister-in-laws!  Family is so important to me and I spend my time away from school soaking in as much time as I can with them.
