I was born and raised in Iowa.  After graduating from the University of Northern Iowa, I came to Texas as quickly as I could, and have been here ever since.  I Have been teaching Art and coaching Wrestling since 1994/95.  I coached Football from 1998-2019.  I am very fortunate to get to teach and coach such a variety of activities that I truly enjoy.  I am teaching Art I.  I am the head wrestling coach. We were back to back District champs and were District runner up for the past two years and 3rd in the Region.

I opened Johnson in 2008 and remained here for the first five years.  I left to another school for 4 years and then returned to Johnson.  This is my 7th year back at Johnson.  This is my 12th total year at Johnson.  This is my 30th year of teaching and coaching.

I have two daughters, Shelbi and Abbi.  Shelbi is 26 and Abbi is 14.  Abbi is a Freshman here at Johnson this year, and Shelbi has finished her undergrad at the University of Incarnate Word and has finished PA medical school at UTMB in Galveston.  Shelbi just got hired as a Physicians Assistant in Marble Falls.  Abbi's extra-curricular interests are Choir and Theatre.
