Ty Manning

Hello Johnson Jaguars. My name is Ty Manning and I have been teaching her at CTJ since 2022. Prior to this I worked at Churchill as a long-term substitute teaching AP Macroeconomics and a Financial Literacy course for the Spring 2022 semester. I teach World Geography and AP Human Geography. 

I come from Wimberley Texas, where I graduated High School in 2015. I came to San Antonio to finish a degree in History w/ a teaching certification, so San Antonio started feeling like home pretty quickly for me. I have a deep passion for history and many of the different social sciences, so I am thrilled to be joining the social studies team here at Johnson. When I'm not teaching I love to spend time playing guitar (I love everything from Rock, R&B, to Hip-Hop) and watching my favorite shows & movies on HBO MAX. I'm also heavily interested in financial literacy.

I look forward to this school year with all new students. Education is very important to me, so I have all your best interests in mind for students to succeed, as it opens many doors. I know this will be a great year and I intend to be here for many more.
