Course Selection & Endorsements
Johnson 2023 - 2024 Course Selections Kick-Off
Starts on January 19th with a special video from the counseling office to be shown during 2nd period. All 9th, 10th and 11th grade students will receive course cards and handouts to help with course selections. Throughout the week, teachers and students will discuss the course options to take next year.
January 23: Skyward Opens for Students to Enter Course Requests
Students Meet with Counselors
Counselors will meet with students individually through English classes to review and advise course selections and ensure they are entered in Skyward.
- Jan. 24 - 27:Counselors will meet with 9th grade students
- Jan. 30 - Feb 3: Counselors will meet with 10th grade students
- Feb. 6 - 9: Counselors will meet with 11th grade students
8th Grade Information
8th Grade Virtual Visit from past years, but still good overview information for students.
Endorsements consist of a related series of courses that are grouped together by interest or skill set. Students must select an endorsement in the ninth grade. Visit your school counselor to learn more about your options. Students may earn more than one endorsement, but at least one is required for students to graduate on the Distinguished Level of Achievement plan.
