Course Selection & Endorsements

  • Johnson 2021-2022 Course Selection Week 
    Starts on January 25th with a special video from the counseling office to be shown during Advisory in 2nd period. All 9th, 10th and 11th grade students will receive course cards and handouts to help with course selections;
    Skyward opens for students to enter course selections on January 25th.

    January 25-Johnson Virtual Course Fair
     
    This will be a helpful resource for students and parents to explore all the awesome elective and extracurricular options at Johnson and have an oppurtunity to submit questions.

    January 29-Enter Courses in Skyward
    Throughout the week, teachers and students will discuss the course options to take next year in each class. Students will be asked to enter their course requests in Skyward during Advisory period on Friday, January 29th.

    February-Meet with Counselors
    Counselors will meet with in-person and virtual students individually through English classes to review and advise course selections and ensure they are entered in Skyward

    • Feb. 1st-5th-Counselors will meet with 11th grade students

    • Feb. 8th-12th-Counselors will meet with 10th grade students

    • Feb. 15th-19th-Counselors will meet with 9th grade students

    Endorsements:

    Endorsements consist of a related series of courses that are grouped together by interest or skill set. Students must select an endorsement in the ninth grade. Visit your school counselor to learn more about your options. Students may earn more than one endorsement.

    2021 - 2022 CTJ Endorsement Card: Students entering 9th grade in 2014 and beyond will graduate under the Foundations High School Program with Endorsements and Distinguished Level of Achievement.
