Ms. Claudia Leon

I am excited to continue my teaching career here at Johnson High School, where I was proud to be part of the First Faculty in 2008. This marks my 26th year teaching in NEISD and my 34th year working with individuals with special needs.

I currently serve as a Special Education teacher in the Beyond Program, helping students develop the individual transition skills they need for life after high school. Prior to becoming a teacher, I worked at Mission Road Developmental Center- a residential facility for children and adults with special needs-where I provided case management for the on-campus children's unit and managed community group homes for adolescents. 

I earned my Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Texas at Austin.
