Carla Jacobs

Greetings from Johnson High School's Health Science Technology Department! My name is Carla Jacobs and I am one of the Health Science Teachers here at Johnson High School. I currently teach Health Science Practicum (Clinical Rotation) and Health Science Theory.

I have been a teacher for sixteen years in NEISD, spending nine years at Lee High School and the remainder here at Johnson High School. I am a Registered Nurse that graduated from UTHSCSA with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. I have nursing experience in the fields of Gynecology, Home Health, and Clinical Research. After being a nurse and loving what I do, I didn't think that I would find another career just as satisfying. I HAVE. Teaching is a great joy to me and I love sharing my knowledge of the medical field with students as they find their way into a career pathway.

I am also the Career and Technical Education Department Head for Johnson High School and I have my Master of Edcuation in Administration from Lamar University. My class schedule is listed above and I can be reached via email at

I use Google Classroom and Remind to desiminate informtion. All lessons will be on Google Classroom for the immmediate future. Codes are listed below. We also have access to our textbook, Diversified Health Occupations, through the Launchpad.

Thank you!
