I was born and raised in Guatemala City, Guatemala. I have a certificate from UTSA as a Translator and Interpreter.  I completed my BS in Accounting from George Mason University and my Masters in Education from University of Colorado.  I completed Italian college courses at University of Maryland in Aviano, Italy and have completed training on Literature and Film in Comillas, Spain.

This is my ninth year teaching at Ronald Reagan, and I am thrilled and honored to have the opportunity to teach at my neighborhood school, and I am passionate about education.  I began my teaching career in Colorado in 1991 and have taught in different school districts as a result of being a military wife.  I have lived in San Antonio since August 2006.

I am the National Spanish Honor Society sponsor.

My husband is my childhood sweetheart, and I am the proud mom of two wonderful sons, Ricky and Jonathan, a Reagan high school graduate. 

When I am not working I am a very active member of the Stone Oak community.  On my free time I make hats and small pillows for children with cancer, and have distributed them to a local hospital and oncology patients in Guatemala and Korea.  On a weekly basis, I serve as the Spiritual Director for a young adult church group in Spanish. As a hobby I am currently working on a Master's in Sacred Scripture.
