Martha E. Rodriguez

I was born and raised in Guatemala City, Guatemala. I am currently working two certificates: UTSA Translator and Interpreter Certification and ACTFL OPI Rater Certification.  I completed my BS in Accounting from George Mason University and my Masters in Education from University of Colorado.  I completed italian college courses at University of Maryland in Aviano, Italy and have completed training on Literature and Film in Comillas, Spain.

This is my fourth year teaching at Ronald Reagan and I am thrilled and honor to have the opportunity to teach at my neighboorhood school and I am passionate about education.  I began my teaching career in Colorado in 1991 and have taught in different school districts as a result of being a military wife.  I have lived in San Antonio since August 2006 and came to Reagan from Alamo Heights High School.

I am the National Spanish Honor Society and the Get Real sponsor.

My husband is my childhood sweetheart and I am the proud mom of two wonderful sons, Ricky (29) and Jonathan, a Reagan high school graduate (25).

When I am not working I am a very active member of the Stone Oak community.  On my free time I make hats and small pillows for children with Cancer and have distributed them to a local hospital and oncology patients in Guatemala and Korea.  On a weekly basis I co-leade a high school age youth group at church and a young adult church group.  I am also active member of team ACTS and a member of the Archdiocese Pastoral Council; a couple of times a year I volunteer at different events for St. P.J.'s children's home.  Dancing is another passion of mine!
