Mrs. Conroy
Hello Rattlers! Welcome to Resource Math.
I am so excited to be teaching at Reagan for a second year. I grew up in Indianapolis and am a proud graduate of Purdue University (BOILER UP!) earning a Bachelors degree in Child Development and Family Sciences. I have been working with children and families in a social service or non-profit capacity for 25 years. Throughout my career, I have been fortunate enough to work with a few renowned organizations, such as Big Brother Big Sisters in Kentucky/Southern Indiana and YMCAs in Ohio, New Jersey, and right here in San Antonio. I will be married for 25 years this November to my husband, Doug, whose position as a Chemical Engineer in the cement industry brought us to San Antonio after living in Ohio and New Jersey. I started working as a substitute teacher for NEISD four years ago, and found that the more time I spent in these halls, with this impressive staff and surrounded by your amazing children, I knew that teaching at Reagan is what I wanted and needed to be doing. So I made it official and am certified in Special Education and Secondarty Math.
I am not only a Rattler teacher, but my husband and I are also Rattler (and Bulldog) parents. Our son is a senior at Reagan this year and our daughter is an 8th grader at Bush. They are both in the band program so we are VERY proud and busy band parents and volunteers. We also love our fur babies, George and Gracie. I love talking about football, especially after the Colts have played (and won) and March Madness when my Boilermakers make it to the race.
I know this year is going to look different, but different does not mean worse. It's going to be a great year! One for the history books.
