Hello Rattlers! I am so excited to be joining the Reagan team this year. I have been teaching since August 2001. I decided to become an educator because my father was a college professor and my mother is a life long learner. I love what I do! My goal is to prepare students for life outside of the classroom. I want students to become critical thinkers who engage in their civic responsiblities to the betterment of our world.
I grew up in Kerrville, TX and went to school at Texas State University and The University of Texas at San Antonio. I love traveling, reading, cooking, and being in nature. I am also a foodie! I love trying new cuisine and new places to eat. In 2015 I started organizing traveling for students (and adults) over Spring Break. I want students to be global citizens and show the differences in cultures from around the world. I started teaching at Northwest Vista in the Fall of 2014, following in my father's footsteps. He was a professor of Psychology at San Antonio College for 18 years. I love impacting student's lives.
