Hello and welcome to the 2024-2025 school year! 

My name is Ms. Cris Tavera and I am so excited to be starting my 9th year at Reagan and my 24th year of teaching!  I graduated from St. Mary's University in 1996 with a B.A. in Biology and a teaching degree in composite science. 

I taught middle school science for 15 years at various middle schools in NorthEast.  I began my teaching career at Eisenhower Middle School, teaching 8th grade science for 2 years.   I then taught 7th grade science at Ed White Middle School for 9 years.  I spent one year at Tejeda Middle School teaching 8th grade science and 4 years at Garner Middle School teaching 7th grade science. 

I have two children.  My daughter, Madeleine, is finishing her last semester at Texas A&M University-Gig'em!- and my son, Benjamin, is a senior here at Reagan High School-Strike'em!

I am looking forward to working with you and your student and to having a challenging but fun school year!!
