Guten Tag & herzlich Willkommen! 

I am a native speaker of German. Growing up and traveling, I also learned multiple other languages, some with more success than others, and understand the struggles monolingual speakers can face. I believe that educators need to meet students where they are at. Helping them to develop proficiency and show what they can, as opposed to what they can't, is my goal as a world language teacher.  I want my students to be feel comfortable and safe in my classroom so they can fully immerse themselves in the exciting experience of exploring other cultures. 

I encourage creativity and free choice. So, if students have a specific skill set they like to showcase, then please by all means, share! Last year a student presented a fairytale project from his graphic calculator. It was impressive! 

When I am not reading or listening to audiobooks & podcasts, you can find me lifting weights or hiking.
