Degrees and Certifications:
Bachelor of Arts in Biology, minor in Chemistry M.Ed. Educational Administration Science Composite Teacher Certification Principal Certification
Welcome to chemistry!! A little about me...
I graduated from Texas A&M University in 1998 with a degree in biology and a minor in chemistry. I also earned my science composite teacher certification while at Texas A&M. I began teaching at Marshall High School in 1998. I worked there for 1 year then came to NEISD to open Reagan High School. I taught at Reagan for 7 years then took 7 years off to raise my kids.
While at Reagan the first time, I went to graduate school and earned my masters degree in educational administration with principal certification. I returned to Reagan in 2013 and have been there since then. I have taught biology, chemistry, pre-AP chemistry and organic chemistry.
This year I am excited to be teaching AP chemistry for the first time. It will also be my second year as the instructional dean of the science department. I am very excited to work with the teachers in my department and with the administration to help keep the Reagan science department excelling in all areas of science education.
