Degrees and Certifications:

Bachelor of Arts in English from University of Michigan State of Texas Certified Teacher 7-12 ELAR and English as a Second Language

Ms. Gail Newberg

I graduated from the University of Michigan with a Bachelor of Arts in English in 2014 (Go Blue!). With a need to get into the classroom and few options in Michigan, I moved away from my home to take a teaching position in Odessa, Texas. After a year of AVID and a year of English I in a Project Based Learning environment, I made the wonderful decision to move to San Antonio to become a Rattler!

This will be my 5th year at Reagan and my 2nd year as the AVID Coordinator. My passion as a teacher is to support students in any way that I can and I feel blessed to be in a position where I am able to do so. With classes full of discussion, movement, technology, energy, and hard work, the students and I can collaborate to get the most out of the curriculum and have some fun while we're at it.

When I leave my classroom, I spend most of my time spoiling my dog, Otto, but love doing anything that will get me outside. I also love cheering on my students at all of the Rattler events!

Let's have a great year!
