Chad Sutherland, M.Ed, LAT, ATC
My name is Chad Sutherland and I was born and raised in Roswell, New Mexico (where the UFO crashed and green chiles). I left New Mexico upon graduating from high school and enrolled at West Texas A&M University where I received my Bachelor of Science in Sports and Exercise Science. While at WT, I became involved with Sports Medicine and decided to pursue the profession. From there, I became a Graduate Assistant at Tarleton State University where I worked with Men's Basketball and Softball. I received my Master of Education in 2002. I hold a national certification in Athletic Training (ATC), as well as, a state licensure in Texas(LAT). I have been the Head Athletic Trainer at Mac since 2007. Go Brahmas!!!
Aside from my time at Mac, I have been involved with the Alamo Area Athletic Trainers Association. I am a former President of the organization and currently the Committee Chair for social events. I am also the current Parliamentarian of the Southwest Athletic Trainers Association. I have also been fortunate enough to be an Athletic Trainer for the Army All-American Bowl game, UIL Boys and Girls State Basketball tournaments, and a variety of events in San Antonio. I my free time I enjoy most outdoor activities and spending time with friends and family hav BBQing on a patio. I have two chocolate labs named Lilah & Kendall.
