Welcome,

I am originally from Huntsville, Alabama, I moved to San Antonio at 16 and graduated from Taft High School.  I earned my BA in history from the University of West Florida and my MA in Education Curriculum and Instruction from UTSA.   I have been in education since 2008, most of which has been at the high school level.  I tried out middle school last year and taught at Alamo Heights Jr. School.  While I loved the experience at the middle school level, I missed high school too much.  I spent 9 years at Sam Houston High School where I taught all the social studies courses at one time or another and was the social studies department chair for 3 years.  This is my first year in NEISD and am excited to begin my Mac experience.  This year I will be teaching AP Human Geography and World Geography.  I am the proud mom of two daughters, Katie (18 years old) and Emma (14 years old).  I love to read and watch true crime shows.  My dream is to one day go to Itlay and Ireland.
