Carrie Kotz

Welcome,

I am originally from Huntsville, Alabama. I moved to San Antonio at 16 and graduated from Taft High School.  I earned my BA in history from the University of West Florida and my MA in Education Curriculum and Instruction from UTSA.  I have been in education since 2008, most of which has been at the high school level.  I spent 9 years at Sam Houston High School, where I taught all the social studies courses at one time or another and was the social studies department chair for 3 years.  I love working in NEISD and especially being at Macarthur.  This year I will be teaching AP Seminar, AP Research and World Geography.  I am the proud mom of two daughters, Katie (currently in college) and Emma (a sophomore at Taft).  I love to read and watch true-crime shows.  My dream is to one day go to Italy and Ireland.
