I am happy and excited to be teaching at MacArthur High School.  My goal is to improve scientific literacy and critical thinking skills for all my students, while hopefully instilling in them a love of science and chemistry in particular. I have been teaching at MAC since January of 2023.

    Prior to my new career in teaching, I proudly served in the United States Navy as a Hospital Corpsman for ten years.  My last duty station brought me to San Antonio as an instructor for both the Navy and the Airforce. I fell in love with both San Antonio and Teaching. After leaving the Navy, I obtained my Bachelors of Science and my 7-12th grade Science teaching certification.

     My philosophy is that Science should fun, collaborative, and engaging.  All students are capable of being good science students (there is no such thing as being bad at science!).  With a growth mindset and a little hard work, all students can be successful.
