Ms. Martinez

Hello! I am Ms. Martinez and I will be teaching English I, English I Honors, and Academic Literacy! I graduated from Texas State University with a major in English and a minor in Secondary Education. I have a love for both English and education and feel so lucky to be able to teach this year’s freshman!

I am a NEISD graduate and graduated from Churchill High School! The education I got in NEISD set me up for college and my career and I hope to give the same back to the students. 

As a Freshman teacher, I believe in being a lifeline for students as they get used to high school life and set them up for the rest of high school and their life through English! My goal is to create an open and supportive environment for the students to learn literary skills that will last a lifetime. Their success is my priority! 

Outside of the classroom, I love to hike with my dog Frankie, read all kinds of books, and try any and all local San Antonio restaurants. While living in San Marcos, I grew a love for the outdoors and Texas nature so I love to do anything outside around San Antonio and more! 

I am working on a classroom website that will be available for both students and parents that will have a calendar of lessons and assignments, copies of assignments, and any news about the class.
