I grew up in Del Rio, Texas and went to the only high school in town, Del Rio High School. I was a "Queen City Belle," and in band where I played the clarinet.
I went to college in San Marcos, TX at Southwest Texas State University where I was a Centennial Strutter and majored in Biology and Minored in Math. Later, I majored in Physics and minored in Chemistry as a graduate student.
My favorites: I LOVE the color red. My favorite food is macaroni and cheese. I have a dog named "Brownie," that looks like a teddy bear :-)
I love to dance. I have been involved in dance in some way all of my life. I have danced professionally in companies in Austin and San Antonio, and I currently teach Ballet Folklorico to Grupo Folklorico Magnifico members at Mac, Tuesdays and Thursdays, 4:30 - 6:30 in the Senior Dining Room.
I taught Biology at Thomas Jefferson High School and Algebra atGeorge Gervin Academy.

Student organization for Mexican Ballet Folklorico and Flamenco dance open to ALL Mac students, young men as well as young women, beginners and experienced dancers alike. Practices are Tuesdays and Thursdays, 4:30 - 6:30 in the Senior Dining Room. See you there!
