I graduated from MacArthur High School in 1995 and then attended Texas State University in San Marcos, where I earned teaching degrees in English and history. After I completed my student teaching at Judson High School, I came back to teach at MacArthur in 2000 and continued through the reconstruction of the school.  This is my 24th year of teaching, all of them at MacArthur except for one year at Driscoll Middle School (2001-2002).  I've taught English (ninth to eleventh grade), creative writing, and literary magazine production.
