      I have served as MacArthur principal since May 2020. Prior to arriving at Mac, I was the principal at Wood MS. Before arriving at NEISD, I served several charter schools and school districts in various administrative capacities both in San Antonio and Los Angeles, CA.

      I have served as a MacArthur administrator since 2019 after moving from being a math teacher at Johnson High School.  Prior to entering education, I worked as a civil engineer in the USAF as well as a consultant for a total of 14 years.

      Hello, I am Mr. Villanueva or as our students refer to me as “Mr. V.”  I began my educational career as a Business Teacher at MAC in 1995.   I am the administrator overseeing the Five Star 9th Grade Academy.  I am looking forward to working with all our new Brahmas and sharing the wonderful experiences and traditions towards becoming a productive citizen while developing high school memories that will last a lifetime.  I will also oversee the Athletic program as we look forward to an exciting and competitive season.  GO BRAHMAS!

      Michelle Smiley

      Hello, my name is Michelle Lee Smiley, and I am the newest assistant principal at MacArthur for the 2022-2023 school year. This is my 7th year in education with experience teaching ESL and ELA at the high school level and two years of administration at the middle school level. I am originally from Edcouch-Elsa, in the Rio Grande Valley. I am a proud graduate of The University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor of Arts in English and a minor in Spanish. I continued my education, graduated with an MBA from Our Lady of the Lake University, and received my Principal Certification and Superintendent Certification training from Lamar University. I love education and am a lifelong learner seeking an Ed. D. through Walden University.

      Some of my responsibilities include working with our illustrious CTE, ESL, LOTE, Creative Arts, and Social Studies teachers, as well as our award-winning dance team. My goals are to help our teachers prepare our students for their futures by providing the tools, habits, and mindset they need to succeed in their post-secondary education and careers. This is my first year on this campus, and I am excited to join the MacArthur family. Go Brahmas!

      Daniel Moczygemba

      I was a science teacher at John Jay High School. I taught Physical Science and Lab Level Physical Science, Environmental Science, and Chemistry. I've been an administrator at Clark High School, Churchill High School, and MacArthur High School. My wife and I have a son who graduated from MacArthur in 2018. I love being at MacArthur and working with the students and their parents. Go Brahmas!
