Greetings Marvelous Mavericks!

Ms. Kambri Hernandez began her teaching journey with NEISD at Wood Middle School and is joining the Madison family this year teaching Art I, Honors Art I, Sculpture, and Jewelry. She is a first-generation graduate of Texas State University, with a Bachelor of Fine Arts (Ceramic Arts emphasis) and Post-Baccalaureate in Secondary Education, K-12 Art Certification.

She has taught art workshops at The Southwest School of Art, sold/exhibited her artwork, and has experience in other art related careers. Kambri found her true passion in guiding students through the creative process. Her goal is to create an inclusive space where students learn independence, self-expression, and forge meaningful art connections with their peers.

When not cleaning her classroom or brainstorming fun assignments, Kambri enjoys learning how to play new instruments (you might need earplugs), wondering what her cats dream about (probably food, maybe an empty bowl if it's a nightmare), and gardening (I’m actually pretty good at that).
