About Me

Hello! I’m Ms. Otley, a high school teacher with a passion for unraveling the mysteries of the universe. With a Master’s degree in Biotechnology and a deep curiosity for the cosmos, I’m thrilled to guide students through the wonders of Astronomy here at Madison High School.

I believe that science is not just about memorizing facts but about asking questions, exploring the unknown, and making sense of the world around us—and beyond. In my class, I strive to foster curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking as we develop topics like the origins of the universe, planetary systems, and the future of space exploration.

When I’m not teaching, I’m usually out stargazing with my daughter, hiking, yoga, or simply observing the world around me, both on Earth and in the skies. I look forward to inspiring my students to reach for the stars—literally and figuratively!
