Mrs. Marina Guerra
Hello! I am an Exploring Life Science teacher and currently serve as the Science Instructional Dean in my free time. With 8 years of teaching experience, I am deeply passionate about science communication. My goal is to convey complex scientific concepts in an accessible and engaging manner, bridging the gap between scientists and students.
I strive to educate and empower my students to think critically about scientific issues through storytelling, visuals, and interactive activities. Together, we explore the wonders of life science, fostering curiosity and a love for learning.
In my classroom, I strive to create a safe and inclusive environment where every student feels empowered to ask questions and engage with their peers. I believe that a supportive atmosphere is essential for learning, so I actively promote respect, understanding, and open communication among students.
To cultivate a growth mindset, I encourage my students to embrace challenges and view setbacks as valuable learning opportunities. We celebrate effort and progress, rather than just outcomes. I incorporate activities that promote collaboration, such as group projects and peer discussions, allowing students to learn from each other’s perspectives.
Additionally, I provide regular feedback that focuses on strengths and areas for improvement, helping students recognize their potential for growth. By fostering a culture of curiosity and resilience, I aim to instill a lifelong love for learning and empower my students to tackle scientific challenges with confidence.
Thank you for visiting, and I look forward to an incredible year of exploration and learning together!
