Welcome to the 2024-2025 School Year Mavericks! I'm excited about starting my 21st year serving the Madison Maverick community with my passion for students and mathematics!

I earned my Bachelors and Masters of Science in Mathematics at the great and fabulous University of North Dakota where I also had the pleasure of instructing College Algebra and Finite Math courses for two years.  My teaching experience also includes instructing evening and weekend classes at San Antonio College for 6 years before having my incredible daughter, Brooklyn! For the last eleven years I have also enjoyed scoring AP Statistics exams during the summer while networking with hundreds of college and high school instructors of Statistics from around the nation as an AP Reader.  This year I'm super pumped to continue serving as an OnRamps College Algebra (ORCA) Virtual Facilitator for UT too!  The ORCA inquiry-based model of learning can really help students take ownership of their learning and expand their analytical thinking skills - I'm looking forward to the journey together with my students as well as the opportunity to help other ORCA instructors embrace this adventure in learning!

I am blessed with an incredible almost 11-year-old daughter who is featured all over my classroom & fills my heart with joy!  In October of 2021, I married a wonderful man and the three of us have enjoyed many family adventures together since then.  My passions outside the classroom include traveling both domestically and internationally, live music & family time!  And speaking of family, we also have a fur family member, Charlie who's a red heeler/black mouth cur rescue dog who joined us July 2020. He's a very loved part of our family!
