I was born in Albuquerque, New Mexico and was able to travel the world as a young adult. My family settled in San Antonio in 1994 and I have lived here ever since. I graduated from James Madison High School in 2004 and then went on to receive my Bachelor's Degree from Texas State University in San Marcos, TX.
This is my 11th year Teaching and my 11th year here at Madison. During these 11 years I have had the pleasure of dabbling my feet in several different areas. Before teaching Biology, which is where I have been for the last 5yrs, I was a special education teacher and case manager. During my time as a special education teacher I spent 2 years in a highly structured ALE, and 4yrs as a Biology Co-teach. My four years as a Biology Coteach is what actually lead me into the Science world.
When I am not on campus or at school events, I enjoy spending time with my husband and 2yr old daughter. I am also very much into fitness and I enjoy doing Crossfit and running.
