I am originally from San Angelo, Texas where I graduated from Wall High School.  After graduation, I continued my education at Angelo State University where I had the opportunity to play basketball for four years.  I received a Bachelors of Science Degree in Mathematics and a Masters of Science Degree in Mathematics while serving as a Graduate Assistant Coach at Angelo State University.

I began my teaching/coaching career in San Antonio at Churchill High School.  After three years, I became the Varsity Basketball Coach at Madison High School in 1994.  I have taught Algebra I, Geometry, Math Models, and Achieve while at Madison.

I am married to David Hastings and we have one son, Korson.
