- Madison High School
- Welcome
-
Hello! I am Mr. Otley and I am pleased to teach English IV and Journalism courses at Madison.
This is my 4th year as a Maverick and my 22nd year as a teacher.
Before becoming a school teacher in 2002, I worked as a journalist at the San Antonio Express-News,
KENS-TV, The News of Texas, and CBS Newspath. I also worked for the Honolulu Star-Bulletin, but that was
as a paperboy.
I loved working as a professional journalist, but I enjoy teaching even more!
A native San Antonian, I graduated from John Jay in 1974. (that is not a typo). I am a graduate of IWC, class of '79.
I have been married to Novetta (a Roosevelt grad) for 41 years and we have four children who attended
Redland Oaks Elementary, Driscoll, and MacArthur.
James Madison High School is committed to preparing students for adult life by providing an educational program that promotes academic achievement and intellectual development.
My wife Novetta and I were able to visit Hawaii last summer. Surfs up!
.
Here I am back in the last century working for CBS.
