Hi Welcome to my teacher web page!

My name is Xueling Xu.  My students call me "Xu laoshi".  This is my 16th year working at NEISD.  In 2007, I had the honor of being hired as the first Mandarin Chinese teacher for NEISD.  From 2007 to 2013, I taught level I to AP Chinese at several high schools in NEISD.  From 2013-2016,  I then worked as a co-teacher, first at Eisenhower Middle School and then at Madison High School.

 I am certified in teaching Mandarin Chinese (EC-12th).   This 2020-2021 school year, I will continue teaching Chinese I to AP here at Lee/ISA High School  and Reagan High School. 

For me, teaching Chinese is primarily a means to prepare and train students for future careers.  Reading, speaking and writing Chinese is definitely one of the top communication skills that our students need to learn, both for now and for the near future.

 I am so happy to be here for my students and their parents so that I can serve both our schools and our community.  I look forward to a great school year.
