Day of the Dead

Day of the Dead

This celebration transforms grief into acceptance and also provides closure to families who have lost a loved one. The family honors the deceased through offerings on an altar, family gatherings, stories, and mass services on November 1st and 2nd. The following colors are present in the celebration and represent the following: Purple- Pain and Suffering, Pink – celebration, White-Purity, Black- Death, Red-Blood, and Yellow and Orange-Sun. We live in a city rich in culture so you will inevitably hear, see, and experience the Day of the Dead events around you and now hopefully, you have some knowledge about the significance this celebration holds for anyone who has lost a loved one.

                        Con amor,
