I started my teaching career in Washington state, coaching football and teaching math and science.  In the early 1990s, I moved to Michigan to coach football as a defensive coordinator while continuing to teach math and science. Twenty-nine years ago, I moved to San Antonio and was hired at the International School of the Americas to teach Physics and Calculus.  For the last thirteen years, I taught AP Physics and OnRamps Physics I and II at James Madison High School.  In August 2024 I will begin my fourth-year teaching Physics at MacArthur High School, and I am excited to be here!

     The latest addition to my family is Kyser, the German Shorthaired Pointer puppy you see in the picture.  My wife and I have two kids, John (who is a senior in NISD) and Addie (who is a sophomore in NISD).  My wife and I first met when we both taught at the International School of the Americas.  Our family enjoys hiking, camping, fishing, and traveling.
