Ms. Reagan Beres

Hi!  I am the AVID Coordinator and AVID Elective Teacher here at Mac Arthur High School!  This is my 35th year teaching in the Northeast Independent School District and I have been a Brahma for nearly 50 years! I was a "junior Brahmadora" in the mid-70's performing at half time with the dance team while I was a student at Serna Elementary. I later attended Garner Middle School and then graduated from Mac in 1985. I earned my degree at Texas State University, back when it was Southwest Texas State, and started teaching in NEISD during the 1989-90 school year. I have two sons, Raney and Rye, and I really dig music and skateboarding. 

I am beyond excited for the 2023-24 school year! This year marks our highest enrollment in Mac AVID since before Covid!  Hooray! Is it possible that things are back to normal?! I sure hope so! That being said...many college campuses have continued with an abbreviated college visit schedule so booking campus tours is still quite difficult.  Hopefully your student will get to visit at least two colleges this year and I will let you know as soon as more information is available!
