Joshua Pacheco - Science Teacher
Hello there, I am Joshua Pacheco, an educator new to teaching but knowledgeable in the physical sciences. I have a B.S. in physics from the University of Texas at Austin and am certified to teach composite science and mathematics.
Despite being new to the teaching profession, I have taught science at various levels ranging from elementary to high school, and have served as a long-term substitute teacher for mathematics at the high school level. As a teacher, it is my job to encourage students to ask questions and seek out their own solutions. I aim to create a classroom environment where every student feels comfortable asking questions and sharing ideas.
Outside the classroom, I enjoy reading, playing board games, and spending time with my friends and family. I am also a huge fan of Star Wars.
I am honored to start my teaching career at MacArthur, where I hope to inspire students to seek explanations for physical phenomena they once may have taken for granted.
