Mrs. Kimberly Proft

This will be my fourth year teaching at MacArthur High School and my 26th year of teaching. 

I graduated from Marshall High School in 1987. I earned my bachelors in Interdisciplinary Studies in 1997 from the University of Texas at San Antonio and my masters in autism and severely emotional disturbances from Our Lady of the Lake University in 2008. I have my teaching certificate in special education, Secondary English and Reading, English as a Second Language, and Elementary Education. 

I have lived in San Antonio for most of my life. I am part of a blended family. I have 7 step and biological children, and 7 grandchildren. My only granddaughter is the oldest. She is a sophomore in high school. The boys are ages 13, 7, 6, 5, and the twins are 4. My house is really quiet right now, with our youngest at college in Arlington. We have also have a small zoo at my house with 1 cockatial, 1 dog, and 1 cat. I love to sew and bike ride. I love living near the Salado Greenway Trails and I try ride my bicycle 20+ miles on the weekends.
