Mr. Jon Kirkland Bonham (AKA Coach Bonham)

Here we go for year number 21.  I'm a veteran of Ed White Middle School- a parent, and community advocate for all students.  I've been an 8th grade teacher and coach the majority of my years here, having started my career in education in 1995 to the present.  I'm a parent of 4, grandparent, and the favorite uncle to many.  I love the written word, reading, investigating, and researching.  I enjoy the task of infecting my students with the love of Words, Stories, Books; I am an avid sports fan, as well as a published writer, and most importantly, in my spare time away from Ed White, I'm Noel's Dad.  My youngest is now an 8th Grade Eagle.

I look forward to working with your student and facilitating for them through ELAR. You'll see many diverse tools used for teaching, as my cohorts and I prepare your student for the REAL WORLD- aka 9th Grade and English I.  I am also an Athletics Coach and have the highest of expectations for my athletes- Student 1st, Athletes 2nd.
