My name is Kat Torres, this is my 3rd year teaching art at Madison. I am born and raised in San Antonio as well as a product of NEISD. I attended Clearspring Elementary, Krueger Middle School, and gratuated from Roosevelt High School. I received my Bachelor's Degree of Art in Arts from the University of Texas at San Antonio. I have done most of my field placements as well as my clinical teaching hours for my Teaching Certification in NEISD schools. I love being part of the staff at Madison. I am very happy and excited that I get to work with and give back to the community and district that raised me. 

I have a passion for learning as well as an exuberance for teaching future leaders in my community. It is those qualities that drove me to wanting to give back to the community and district I live in. Not only do I live in the great North East ISD, my children attend school here as well, and my fiance is also a graduate of NEISD. Currently at Madison I teach Art 1, Drawing 2, and Drawing 3-4.

In my personal time I enjoy playing video games with my fiance and our friends, fishkeeping with my fiance, skateboarding with our daughters, shopping at the mall, doing hair and makeup with my daughters, painting, and photography. I am also an animal lover, I have 2 cats, 5 dogs, and 14 fish tanks. Needless to say, my family keeps me busy, which I love.
