Degrees and Certifications:
Bachelor of Arts in Administration
Ms. Deserie Rangel
I am entering my 5th year as an educator. I began my teaching career as a 5th grade teacher. After I graduated from high school I attended San Antonio College and obtained my Associate Degree in Criminal Justice. I then entered the workforce. I worked for almost 15 years as an administrative manager for Hertz Corporation and Methodist Healthcare. While I was working I continued my education and graduated from the University of the Incarnate Word with a BA in Administration.
In addition to my teaching duties, I am the proud parent of an amazing young lady, who is a student in NEISD. When my daughter was in 4th grade it was determined that she had a health impairment that affects her learning. She qualified for special education services which she still receives today. As she progressed in her education, she inspired me to become an educator. My experiences as a parent of an exceptional learner is what led me to seek a position as a special education teacher.
This is my second year at Roosevelt High School and I am thrilled to work with such an amazing team.
