Jonathan Van Lysebettens

This will be my 7th year teaching Social Studies and 6th year with NEISD.  I was born and raised in Chicago, IL, and decided at 18 that I wanted to join the Marines. I spent the next 4 years in the Marines, stationed on the East Coast and doing a tour to Afghanistan in 2011.  Immediately after leaving the military, I went to college at NW Vista Community College for my Associate in Teaching and finished up my B.A. and M.A. in History at UTSA here in San Antonio. 

This year I will be teaching US History and AP/Dual Credit US History and am very excited to share my passion of history with my students.
