Edgar Garza

Hello everyone! My name is Edgar Garza, and I serve as the assistant athletic trainer at Roosevelt High School. I am excited to be a part of the TR family and look forward to serving each and everyone through my role as a health care professional and the sports medicine instructor as well. I earned my Master’s in Athletic Training degree from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in Lubbock, TX and have my Bachelor’s in Kinesiology with a Biology minor from the University of Texas at San Antonio. I am certified in Graston M1 Technique and lower quarter dry needling. My clinical experience includes time in the secondary school, collegiate, and professional settings with time spent with the Arizona Diamondbacks and Texas Tech University. I am looking forward to teaching our athletic training students and sports medicine students through various engaging activities. I am originally from Mission, Texas in the Rio Grande Valley. I am the oldest of three with two younger sisters. We grew up in a tight knit Hispanic household. I enjoy spending quality time with my family outside of school. I have a passion for sports and service which is why I combined the two to become an athletic trainer. My goal is to pass on the knowledge that has been passed on to me from my parents, teachers, professors, and mentors onto the next generation of great students, healthcare professionals, and above all people.
