Biology Degree from Texas Lutheran University. Composite Science Teaching Certification
Ms. Kathleen Kredell
Hello Students and Parents my name is Kathleen Kredell and I teach the best elective science class on campus, Food Science! Period! There are not too many Science classes that you can actually EAT the experiment. And this year we are offering Introduction to Culinary for the first time. I started teaching at Ed White Middle School as a student teacher. My first teaching position was as a science teacher at Hobby Middle School. I moved over to Anson Jones Middle School for an exciting time Team Teaching 8th graders with 4 other core teachers. But now I am here at Roosevelt High School teaching Food Science and Intro to Culinary in the Saber Building. My degree is in Biology from Texas Lutheran University but I have a Composite Science Secondary Teaching certification which I obtained from UTSA. I enjoy teaching Food Science because it is an applied science course which makes Chemistry, Nutrition and Biology relevant to a Junior or Senior level student. And I am very excited to be bringing Introduction to Culinary which will prepare our students for our upper level Culinary courses with Ms. Coleman.
